What do you think about the importance of understanding English properly and being able to communicate in English with other people?

La música nos da una forma de unir varios idiomas para comunicarnos culturalmente... 

My favorite song from last December...

This is a song by Matchbox 20, "How Far We've Come".

The reason why I like this song is because I feel that it reflects the moment that we are going through as a species and as a planet. Time is accelerating and many things are happening, new technologies, new wars, new diseases.

When I first heard this song was last December, and my mother got very sick. She had to have a surgery and I was very worried for her health, so in a way, I was feeling that my world was burning to the ground and coming to an end... thank God all went well, and she recovered splendidly.

I like the fact that this song is snappy, yet the topic is a serious one. That kind of music that mixes contrary lyrics to the theme is not too common, so I appreciate it very much.

I believe, as the song says, that the world is coming to an end, but we are also going through a new beginning. The question remains... where do we want to head to? We have the choice.

This means that your grade will suffer.

Hello Children of the 405!

Hello my dear students,

I am very happy to participate with you in this blog activity.

Going over the pending homework, allow me to remind you that your "Evidencias" will be graded according to your blog activities, so it is very important that you figure out as soon as you can how you can write on your blog, and do not wait until the last minute to do so! Or else you will suffer endless torture! And we don't want that, do we?

I thought not.

What you have to show me on your blog, as of today February 14th is:

a) What are your tastes? What do you like and dislike? A 1000 word composition. In English! Yes!!!

b) A song or video (it will be easier if you just share a youtube link) of a song you like, yes, in English! Explaining to me in Spanish why you like that song in particular.

I will be giving you feedback on what I read on your blog. I will point out what topics you need to study in your own so you can pass this course with flying colors. Remember, this is personal work! I already know the language, I won't do the work for you, and no one else will either. Not even Google!!!

If you have any questions, you can post them here, as comments. I remind you... we must be respectful.

Another important detail: so that this will count for your grade, the activities must be on your blog. Not in my mailbox! Avoid working twice.

Recapitulando sobre las tareas pendientes, les recuerdo que sus evidencias estarán calificadas en sus blogs, por lo que es importante que vayan averiguando cómo escribir en un blog, y que no se atrasen demasiado en las actividades para que no sufran después.

Lo que deben tener hasta el día de hoy 14 de febrero en su blog es:

a) Letra en español y francés de "La Vie en Rose"

b) Las líneas en español y francés de la canción "Eternidad" de La Ley.

Para la clase del martes, deben traer nombres de países y continentes en francés.

Cualquier duda, aquí mismo dejen comentarios. Les recuerdo que debemos ser respetuosos!

Otro detalle importante: Para que cuente para calificación, todo esto debe estar en el blog. No en mi correo! Evítense trabajar doble.
